Lucy Bag Done!

I am on a roll lately with my knitting. The Lucy Bag is finished and in a timely manor. It was a nice pattern, easy to knit. Although towards the end I was ready to be done.

Yarn: Cascade 220 Heathers-Green
Needles: 10.5 circulars and 10.5 dpn
Dates: Started June 18th and finished July 29th

Before picture! It was quite large and floppy looking.

Here is the finished bag. I do wish it was a tad bit shorter. I did about 106 rows. I really like it and I think it is a cute bag.

Sweet Birthday Present

Here is the SWEET birthday gift from my husband. A little Tiffany & Co Cupcake charm. Very cute. Looks a little bit like Amy's (Good to be Girl) cupcake stitch markers! I do love both. I will vow to keep this away from Colin, so he doesn't eat it. Bad boy. I had a lovely day and a good birthday celebration Krittika's Thai and cake. Yumm

Okay, not to bore you with constant pictures of our new bathroom, but here are the new cabinets-cherry with a dark walnut stain. As my Father-in-law will attest to cherry is not the easiest material to stain evenly. I think it turned out great and looks beautiful with the colors in the bathroom!

Colin with his EVIL look! All the stains on his shirt are from eating one hot dog! I really am not sure how he does it.

I have taken a lot of heat over Colin's empty closet, so here is another picture and as you can see it is a bit more full now! See Mom he does have clothes!! Oh, and that pink coat does not belong to Colin. Someone else is short on closet space...that would be my little clothes horse.

Chai taking time to smell the flowers! He doesn't go outside, but I let him peek out the window once in awhile.

Socks done!

My Jaywalker Socks are finally finished! I won't even put when I started them. Well, two kids do keep me busy and I have to squeeze in knitting time. I wouldn't recommend doing bamboo yarn with this Jaywalker pattern. Chevron and no stretch bamboo isn't the best combination.

Taking good sock photos is truly an art!

Pattern: Jaywalker
Yarn: Boo Fly
Needles: Size 1 on two circulars

My plan is to finish up all the projects I have started. I did start with that plan and then a pattern caught my eye and all the Socks that Rock in my stash drawer and I can't resist. Then to top it off off Socks that Rock has a ton of new bright, beautiful sock yarn on their website just calling my name. Resist....resist....resist! I really do need knitters anonymous.

-Fix flower on felted bag for Zannie (SIL) really this is a five minute job
-For some reason I did five, yes five Flora scarves. I don't like the flowers with a double strand, so I need to re-do the flowers
-Finish Log Cabin socks
-Finish Saturday Market bag

That's all I can remember right now, but there might be more!

Warm Day

What does Colin do on a warm day with no air conditioning? He wraps himself in a double layer fleece blanket during his nap! He must take after me--the warmer the better. I am sure he was nice and toasty.

Silly boy.

A few pictures of my kitty Chai! He loves laying around on NB bed. He looks quite pretty in pink!

You can tell here that I had just woke Chai up from his nap. His eyes are usually HUGE. He just couldn't keep them open.

Pretty Yarn

I have a few new additions-- a skein of merino cashmere nylon yarn from The Plucky Knitter. In the colorway Palatial and it was purchased at Village Yarn and Tea.I may use this skein for a winter cowl.

The two blue skeins are Malabrigo Worsted in the colorway Paris. Purchased from The Fiber Gallery. I am still debating what project I will use this for...stay tuned!

I will have a project post VERY soon!

Wallingford Kiddies Parade

Today we went to the Wallingford Kiddies Parade! It is a fun event and just a few blocks from our house. The kids love it and it's nice to see our community brought together. All of the kids looked like they were having a great time!!

The 59th Annual Wallingford Kiddie Parade is an event designed for children young or old. All children are invited to march in the parade! Dressing in costume is encouraged, but not required. Join with drill teams, clowns, bands and others for a fun parade, then stop by the street fair for more fun, food and rides.

I think NB could have been the best dressed child at the Kiddie Parade!
