Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! The kids had a great Halloween and plenty of treats tonight.

He was a cute cowboy! Not the most cooperative in wearing the rest of his costume, which was a horse.

Princess Belle on the candy run!

My cute boys.

Eva joined us for tricks and treats!

It is also Dia de Los Muertos (day of the dead). I made pan de muertos (bread of the dead) for their party at school. The kids told stories of loved ones that have passed. Of course, NB was one of the first to raise her hand. Her story was someone who was sometimes mean and scratched her... One parent asked about that and I said it was my Siamese cat! Poor Misha. Not sure that story was altogether true!

Eva's Birthday Party

We went to Eva's Birthday this weekend! The kids were so cute and it was a wonderful party. Just four kids which made it nice and mellow. Eva was adorable and in awe of her cake and presents.

The two sugar girls waiting for the cake.

I know I may be biased, but is he not the cutest boy? Oh, he knows it, the big flirt. One smile and he can get away with the world.

I love this picture!

We had our little visitor this weekend--Monty the Corgi! The kids love it when Monty comes over and boy does he get a lot of attention. Poor Colin was crying "Moooonnnttteeyyy" when it was time for the dog to go home. Poor boy. His being upset was quickly resolved with a piece of Halloween candy.

New Favorites

I have a few new favorites to share with you!

I am not, usually, a candy bar person, but Moose Munch Dark Chocolate Bar is amazing! The best candy bar ever! Why you ask? Lets start with a bar covered in rich dark chocolate with a rich, buttery, truffle fudge center mixed in with one piece of buttery caramel corn, toffee and almond. Not to over crowd your chocolate sensation. Wrapped in a paper wrapper with a plastic tray to protect your little sweet treat!

Best of all this Harry and David treat is now available at your local Target store!

I love, love , love Soap and Glory bath products! My favorite is Calm One, Calm All bubble bath. It's surprising they still have it on the shelf after I have been in the store. All their products are great. I just bought the foot cream for my sore foot and it is wonderful. Here is my travel bag--is it not the cutest bag ever??

This UK brand is available at your local Target. How do they do it? Check out the Boots make-up line.

I haven't knitted for two weeks, but I am going to start this afternoon. I have some projects to finish up and hopefully won't get distracted and start something new! Although, I am eyeing STR Lucy, so you never know. On the foot front, I have progressed to a walking boot (two weeks early)! My foot and ankle is pretty sore to walk on right now, but everyday I keep trying.

Pumpkin Royalty

My Cousin Walter is now the King of Pumpkins in Washington State! You go Walt! Walter and his son Brad grow very, very large pumpkins and are quite successful. They have the largest pumpkin in Washington State at a whopping 1,467 pounds. Now that's a pumpkin. Here is the Seattle Times article.

Now that's a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

Some people go to a pumpkin patch we go to Central Market in Shoreline to see the big pumpkins. Check it out and visit a great store too!

The kids really enjoyed all of the beautiful pumpkins--big and small.

NB and her modeling pose, she's such a ham.

John Stanford had their Annual Move-a-thon fundraiser for school. The kids all had a great time and I had a good time on the Burke Gilman trail on my knee scooter. My knee IS a bit sore tonight.

By George, There's an Arch in my Foot!

There's an arch in my foot! Some of of you may think that isn't a big deal, but for someone who has had rigid flat feet her whole life it's AMAZING! Amazing what doctors can do. I have four more weeks on crutches and then a walking boot. I am up and around a lot more these days. I even took NB to get her very first library card and lunch at Taco Time. She was so excited about the library card, but more excited about us spending the day together.

On the knitting front, I have finished half of the Log Cabin socks and I really need some help winding the other skein of yarn, husband may get a quick lesson on using a swift. Great pattern. Love knitting socks with bulky yarn. Goes very fast. I also did a pair of socks for Colin and a pair for NB (almost done with the first sock), working on a Chevron Scarf and Backyard Leaves Scarf. Yes, I have had a case of cast-on-itis! I do hope to finish all of these projects fairly soon.

Look how pretty that pattern is!
